Your Daily Sarah

She loves to give Hannah Grace sweet kisses.
She does whatever her brother does, but, um, louder.
Her favorite song is "Wheels on the bus".
Her first four word sentence? "No Mommy stop it!" True story.
Mac and cheese, milk and strawberries are a few of her favorite things.

She keeps us on our toes and we love her dearly.

Snickerdoodles with Nana

My mom came up last week and, being the genius that she is, brought snickerdoodle dough with her. The kids had a blast making them and I had a blast eating them. It worked out for all of us!

The kids are just thinking, "I want to eat the dough..."

Sarah, I can hardly handle how cute you are. Goodness gracious.

Roll in the cinnamon and sugar, take a bite, put on the tray.

Hannah Grace doing what she does best...

Moses was kind enough to make sure there was a picture of mommy. Lawsie.

I have now eaten approximately two dozen cookies. Goodbye forever, pre-pregnancy jeans. Goodbye forever.

According to Moses

While reading "Tiny Bear's Bible" to the kids this morning, we came across this picture. Moses points to this picture of Goliath and says, "Daddy!" I.could.not.stop.laughing!

Love

Love

If I live in a house of spotless beauty with everything in its place,
but have not love - I am a housekeeper, not a homemaker.
If I have time for waxing, polishing, and decorative achievements
but have not love - my children learn of cleanliness, not godliness.
Love leaves the dust in search of a child's laugh.
Love smiles at the tiny fingerprints on a newly cleaned window.
Loves wipes away the tears before it wipes up the spilled milk.
Love picks up the child before it picks up the toys.
Love is present through trials.
Love reprimands, reproves, and is responsive.
As a mother there is much I must teach my child,
but the greatest of all is... LOVE.

From Michelle and Jim Bob's book, A Love That Multiplies.

Sukka time.

This sukkot we had our homies the Mirabal's over to help build our sukka. My lovely cousin, Dana, came over that day and was nice enough to snap some pictures. Thanks, Roo!

Miah and the kiddos, getting to work.
I was probably inside drinking coffee and enjoying the peace and quiet.

Why yes, that is my son holding the golden mums and wearing the cute, frilly hat. Why do you ask?
Moses and Shep.
Wait. Are they ON the strawberries?! This is what happens when I'm inside drinking coffee.
I kind of adore this picture.
1. Brittany loving on sweet River.
2. I think Stephen is looking at me and wondering why the heck I'm always in my pajama's.
Okay. Probably not. But maybe.
The finished product - thanks for all your help, guys!

Later that week we headed to Albuquerque for a mini family vacation. We stayed with my Godparents we are so grateful for their hospitality - it is no small thing welcoming us into your home! We had a great time. We went to the zoo, Explora, Santa Fe, The St. James Tearoom... the only downside was that there wasn't time to see everyone we love.
Miah and I were so busy wrangling the crew that pictures were low on our list. Here are a couple of the ones we managed to get!
Moses riding the zoo train. My little man LOVES trains and we tried to pack in as many of them as we could.

Miah and two of our littles.

Hannah Grace doing what she does best. She is such a delight - so mellow and is willing to go with the flow.

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Wonderful, crazy, tired, lovely days.

These days have been such a whirlwind. There was the time that Sarah was crying, Hannah was eating, Moses was spilling the Nesquick on the pantry floor.. and there was pee on the carpet, vomit all over Sarah... and one Mama. Then there are the smiles Hannah makes in her sleep, Sarah's silliness, Moses' sweetness.. These days are so wonderful, exhausting, frustrating, exhilarating, all in one. Can I get an amen?

I have been trying all sorts of things to keep Moses and Sarah occupied. A picnic with cheese crackers usually does the trick. Play Doh, coloring, and videos are way up on the list, too!

My daughters. Precious, precious girls.

The wonderful Brittany Mirabal did our family pictures a couple weeks ago (you can check out her blog HERE and her photography website HERE). I love this picture. Real life, happening.

My mom just left, Kat is back to work, Miah is starting back to work full time... this three day weekend is the last hoorah before real life begins. I kinda feel like I'm just taking a deep breath and jumping in with both feet. Here goes nothin'!

The past 10 days.

How is it even possible that Hannah is over a week old already? Time.is.flying. I'm trying to soak her up, nap, and love on the rest of my family as much as possible. See ya in about 18 years, ha!
Here are a few pictures of our week.

The Sarah Bo is now sporting a pony tail.
The amount of cute in this girl is just over the top.

"Moses hold Hannah Grace?"

We have a swaddle free tummy sleeper.

The thing Sarah likes most about her little sister? The paci's, or "baht" as she calls them. Hannah could care less about the thing and Sarah takes every opportunity to snatch them up!

Moses just loves his littlest sister.
As of last Tuesday she was 9lbs 15oz. Holy smokes.
I wish I had more to share, but my time is so limited these days.. and best spent on snuggling three little cuties and their daddy. I know you all understand!

Moses sings the ABC's.

I can honestly say that I don't know where he learned this. I mean, sure, we sing the ABC's, but all of a sudden he just sings it all by himself. Have I mentioned that he also knows the entire Hebrew aleph-bet? And he can count to ten? And, and, and. I may need to go back to college before I'm ready to homeschool this little smarty pants!

(I missed the first part of his little ditty and he was not up for a repeat!)

Hannah Grace Hayes

After the easiest labor I have had yet, and the hardest round of pushing our newest little lady emerged into this world. All 9lbs 12oz and 21 inches of her. She and mama are healthy and we are headed home tomorrow to let her meet her big brother and sister. Here are a few pictures from our day.
I could hardly believe how big she was!

What can compare to meeting your little one for the first time?
It never gets old.

Hannah's first bath.

Spending time with Nana. So glad she made it for the delivery!

Grandma Kat changing her diaper. I have a feeling there is more of this in your future, Grandma!

Sacked out with Aunt Susie.

Hanging out with Mama at 2 o'clock in the morning.
We're quickly becoming the best of friends.

Thank you all for your love and support, both as we anticipated her arrival and now that she has come. She has been born into such a loving family, and to friends who love us just as family. We are grateful for you, and thankful to God for another wonderful blessing.
Welcome to our family, Hannah Grace. You are just perfect.

Hayes Happenings

Well, I have not been a good blogger. I've been too busy being grumpy, I think. This has not been my shining moment, folks. I think this season has served to highlight my deficiencies quite well thankyouverymuch.
My babies and my husband, however, are as wonderful as ever. I mean really. They are just such a delight.
Every Saturday we pack up and head to Berg Park.
The babies love it!
Gimme a pound, dawg.
She's such a homie.
I thought Moses was going to blow a gasket when we saw this fire truck on our walk. The fire department does white water training at Berg Park and this was Mo's lucky day!
And of course we are spending as much time outside as we can.
I swear she is having a good time.
I would like to take this opportunity to warn you all never to buy the off brand otterpops. The extra dollar really is worth it, in case you were wondering.
Babies + water = True love forever
Bonnie gave Moses this monkey for his birthday. It drinks milk, burps, hiccups, laughs.. oh and totally creeps me out. Moses, however, has suddenly become fascinated with the thing. He feeds it, burps it, then brings it to me to love one it. "Here, Mama, here!"
That's all from the Hayes family! Hopefully next time I will be introducing you all to #3!
