The Mo-man is 6 months old!

He is turning into a little boy right before my very eyes. I am making sure to squeeze him, cuddle him, spend time all snuggled up and reading to him, because I see the days coming when he is mobile and just, well, bigger.
I think what brought this on was sending Mo's baby clothes to my sweet friend, Stacey, who is expecting a little boy this fall. Going through his things I just remembered how little he was! That led me to look back at the pictures of when he was born. Here are a few I never posted. Mainly because I was embarrassed about what a train wreck I was. I'm over it now, so here they are!

Just born. Cute little cone head.
All I saw was 12.8 and I nearly fainted and asked for another epidural.
Aw, they have always been buddies.

The days just keep getting sweeter. I love this little guy.

Sometimes it's hard to take this guy seriously.

Meet the elephants.

I would like to introduce you to Ele and Ele. These little guys are life savers. The play music so at nap time they sing Mo to sleep. If he wakes up in the middle of a nap, no problem, he just grabs Ele 1 or Ele 2 and plays until he falls back asleep. Shoot, sometimes he even wakes up in the middle of the night to play! And in the morning? Sometimes he will play for 45 minutes! I love these little guys!
See how happy he is??

He is still soo happy. Who wouldn't be, really?

Ahh, life is good.

A little bit of the Mo-man.

Something has happened. A couple days ago Moses woke up and has fussed, fussed, fussed ever since. Six month growth spurt? Teething? Hormones (him, not me)? I sure as heck don't know. In the midst of all the fussing, there has been fun though. Let's just focus on that!
Here is Moses eating a "Mum-Mum" cracker. He loved it!

Look past the sweet potatoes.. can you see that sass??
He is actually rolling over! Not consistently, but he is doing it! Go, buddy, go!

The Garden.

A week?! It's been a week?!! My, my, I bet the 2.5 people that read this blog are just sitting on pins and needles waiting to know what has happened with the garden and wondering if Kat is still sitting in front of the window.
She's not.
Life has been interesting around here.. but I'll get to that in another post. For now, a garden update. This update should solidify in the minds of 2.5 said readers that, when it comes to gardening, I have no idea what I'm doing.

Here are our beans!! Look at them grow!

Pumpkins!!

See all the plants sprouting in the outer circle? Those would be squash.

Umm... more squash..

You've got it, this is a squash, too. Grow little guy, grow!

Hey, did you guys know that you're supposed to have about 3 squash plants per section of garden. Let me check. Yep, we've got a few more than 3. Hmm. A big goal of this week is to thin out the plants and transplant to another area that has been cleared. I love seeing all the lovely plants growing, and giggle at the silliness of it all!
As for dealing with the birds eating the sprouts.. we made a trip to Lowe's and purchased some deer netting and put it over the entire garden. It's working like a charm!!

Dem Birds!! An update.

I don't know if I have ever blogged this much. Ever. But I had to post this garden update. Remember when I posted about the birds in the garden? Well, THEY ARE EATING OUR SPROUTS!! Today they plucked out a cucumber plant, went after our beans that are sprouting so beautifully and they may have gotten all of our squash. All of them. Dem birds are now referred to as damn birds. Or "stupid butts" when Kat gets really mad. That just cracks me up.

Here are those "stupid butts" hovering above the garden, just waiting to pounce on our sprouts!!:

See the wire thing? It has a CD hanging from it. The reflective light is supposed to keep the birds away. :
And here is Kat, watching over her garden. When a bird would even get a little close she would run out at them. It was better than prime time television. :

We got some ideas from our favorite gardening book and are heading to the garden center as soon as the Mo-man wakes up tomorrow! Wish us luck!

Bath time fun Part II

I love this video because:

1.) Mo is having soo much fun

2.) His "loin cloth" just cracks me up

3.) The loin cloth..

4.) Did I mention the loin cloth??
