Little projects.

Here are a couple of pictures to introduce you to something new I tried out and to update you all on the status of "My Bulbs!!"
Here is a purse that "I" sewed. Really, my mother in law deserves about 75% of the credit. I wouldn't have finished it if she hadn't encouraged me. Turns out I don't really enjoy sewing...

And!! My daffodils and tulips are blooming!!

Visitors!

This week Auntie Face and Ms. Kelli came for a visit. It was soo wonderful to see them! I have missed them terribly and it was about time they met Moses! I was sad their stay went by so quickly! Come back!!

Moses and Martha.

Here is my little boy and his favorite toy, Mr. Mouse, watching Martha this morning. Oh dear.

The 3 Month Growth Spurt.

That is where I have been. I have been "managing" The 3 Month Growth Spurt. There are growth spurts, and then there is The 3 Month Growth Spurt. Dun, dun, dun... It all started last Wednesday. Moses would cry and cry during and after feedings because Mama just didn't have enough milk for my big, growing boy. That was fun. I knew it was a growth spurt, but the crying was coupled with a rash and a few other things that I can't even remember so Moses and I decided to pay our doctor, Ms. Nancy, a visit. She confirmed the growth spurt. (Really? I needed to pack us up, pay our co-pay, and take Moses around sick people for THAT? I felt like a new mom at that moment.) The rash is nothing (another "duh" moment), and my carpal tunnel that is lingering from pregnancy will go away if I wear this flesh colored wrist brace, which really ups my cool factor. Ms. Nancy also said that, while she recommends waiting for at least one more month to start rice cereal, we could give it a try if I was "going crazy." The following picture was taken about 4 hours later.

It was, obviously, a hit. **Blink**
So, while my favorite site for breastfeeding mom's says that growth spurts usually last 2-3 days, this one is just now beginning to taper off 9 days later. Ms. Nancy warned that this one could last 10-12 days. Ugh.
So, after feeding Moses every two hours and a week and a half of rough nights I am beat.
However, this would be an appropriate time to tell the world, yet again, what a wonderful man I am married to. He has been working like crazy lately, only to come home to an exhausted wife and a fussy son. He jumps right in, lets me (sometimes makes me) sleep and rest and takes care of Moses. I am soo very grateful!

Making friends.

Being a stay at home mom in a new town can bring many lonely days. The Lord has blessed me, though, with two sweet friends, Brittany and Bonnie. On Tuesday Moses and I went to Bonnie's house to do some yardwork. Moses was camped out with us in the front yard, lathered with sunscreen and lounging out under a big red umbrella. He slept most of the afternoon. He was just too cute for words!
Bonnie has a lovely niece, Bella, who is cute as a button. Bella is about to be a big sister so she was practicing her skills on her new friend "Nosis".
Nosis received many hugs yesterday...

"I think he wants this..."

"I don't think he wants this..."

Standing guard over her new buddy.

Snack time with Nosis.

My exhausted little boy. Making friends is hard work sometimes :)

Thank you, Lord, for days like these! It made me feel like Farmington is becoming home. I am so grateful.

Molokai Gear.

Until we can take Mo to Molokai, Papa O and Auntie Lena sent Molokai to Mo. It may take awhile to grow into his Aloha outfit, but he will be soo cute when he does!

"My bulbs, my bulbs!"

That is what I yelled to my mother-in-law. She said she needed to think it through because at first she wasn't hearing "bulbs" and with all the breastfeeding problems she thought I was referring to something else :)
But really! My bulbs are finally coming up! All 72 of them! Well, I have "only" counted 69 so far, but I still have faith in the other 3. They're just late bloomers, he he!

A Little Dose of Reality Part II

Here are my bird poo cookies. Oh dear.

A little dose of reality.

Sometimes in blogging world things tend to look pretty pulled together in our daily lives. Confession: most of the times things around here are not what I would call pulled together. More like organized chaos. So, here are a couple of pictures of my not so pulled together week. No, there are none of me. I'm not THAT brave.

Mo-Man. STILL in his pj's. He looks HUGE in this picture!!

Moses is just soo sweet when he wakes up! Once the grumpy gets stretched out, this is what we have.

PS - Jeremiah is responsible for the outfit.

Where do the socks go?

I still can't find this one...

Sweet, happy little boys!!
