Sukka time.

This sukkot we had our homies the Mirabal's over to help build our sukka. My lovely cousin, Dana, came over that day and was nice enough to snap some pictures. Thanks, Roo!

Miah and the kiddos, getting to work.
I was probably inside drinking coffee and enjoying the peace and quiet.

Why yes, that is my son holding the golden mums and wearing the cute, frilly hat. Why do you ask?
Moses and Shep.
Wait. Are they ON the strawberries?! This is what happens when I'm inside drinking coffee.
I kind of adore this picture.
1. Brittany loving on sweet River.
2. I think Stephen is looking at me and wondering why the heck I'm always in my pajama's.
Okay. Probably not. But maybe.
The finished product - thanks for all your help, guys!

Later that week we headed to Albuquerque for a mini family vacation. We stayed with my Godparents we are so grateful for their hospitality - it is no small thing welcoming us into your home! We had a great time. We went to the zoo, Explora, Santa Fe, The St. James Tearoom... the only downside was that there wasn't time to see everyone we love.
Miah and I were so busy wrangling the crew that pictures were low on our list. Here are a couple of the ones we managed to get!
Moses riding the zoo train. My little man LOVES trains and we tried to pack in as many of them as we could.

Miah and two of our littles.

Hannah Grace doing what she does best. She is such a delight - so mellow and is willing to go with the flow.

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Family Fun.

This morning we went to Berg Park. It's a great place. We fed the ducks, went for a nice walk (come on labor!), and then the kids played in the water.
Ready to go!
Sissy and Papa, looking at the ducks.

Moses really loves feeding the ducks.

Sweet little blue eyed girl.

Lawsie.

The kids favorite part! The water area!

Busted. This is definitely not allowed. Eww.

This was Sarah's first time at the water area since she figured out walking.
She had a blast!

It's a hit!

This weekend we went to "Touch a Truck" at Mcgee park. It totally surpassed our expectations. Cranes, firetrucks, tractors, semi's.. you name it, it was there. The kids could climb in, honk horns, even talk over the loud speakers. It was fun (and LOUD!!). I was so glad we went.
Hey look! A picture of me with both kids! Amazing.
Sarah Bo was such a trooper.
"Fire truck!!"
A fav, for sure.
More fire trucks!
The bus.. it was the #1 fav of the day. Go figure!
What a fun day!

Gratitude.

This Thanksgiving Jeremiah and I have so many things to be grateful for.
Each other.
Our heavenly Father that leads, guides and determines our path.
Moses David.
Sarah Elizabeth.

And sweet Baby Hayes, number three. Coming this summer.

Molokai.

Many, many moons ago my grandfather (my dad's dad) spent his summer's on Molokai. He had a condo at Kenanikai and each summer he would go off to Hawaii. His health started to deteriorate around the same time my brother was stationed on Oahu, and so he sent my dad and I to Molokai for a couple of weeks in his place. It was a great vacation. We split our time between Molokai and visiting with my brother Oahu. Fun, fun, fun.
Fast forward a few years and Jeremiah and I were living on Molokai - just a few minutes from Kenanikai resort. When Jeremiah and I first arrived on the island I went and visited the places I had gone to with my dad. It was surreal. It was on that trip with my dad that I first found out that he was sick. He said the doctors had given him about four years.. but I was sixteen then and the reality of those words didn't really sink in. Now to be back at the place that I had shared so many fun memories with my father, but older and wiser and honestly quite healed up from the awfulness of losing him and everything that happened around his death... it was just surreal. I'm really grateful for those early days on Molokai with Jeremiah. God really did something in my heart to heal me up. It was good.
The beach dad and I spent most of our time on.

This trip was special, too. This time I could my take my family to all the places dad and I had gone, and then Jeremiah and I as well. Molokai has a special place in our hearts. I hope we can spend many, many more family vacations there.
Moses' first time at the beach. The little homie was fearless!

So many more pictures and memories to share! More to come.

Our week in Albuquerque!

We had such a lovely time catching up with friends and family in Albuquerque last week. Thank you to everyone who took time out to come and visit with us!

Moses was more interested in running up and down the hallway than the fish :)
Thanks for coming with us, Keekee!
I got him to sit still for two seconds for a photo!
Two peas in a pod!
Here is a video of Moses dancing with Auntie Pam! The family should love this one!

Our Growing Family

Here are a few pictures Kat took this weekend. We are adjusting well to being a family of four. Sarah is so sweet. Long fingers and toes and beautiful blonde hair. It get's really curly when it's wet and reminds me of my dad's hair! She has been eating well and we've all been getting a remarkable amount of sleep. Life is good! Now I just have to figure out how to do this mom of two thing while flying solo! One day at a time, right?!
Before we went to the hospital.
Moses meeting Sarah ("Rah") for the first time.
Mo's cool outfit while hanging out with Grandma.
All of us home and getting to know each other.. on the kitchen floor.. but whatever works, right?!
Happy Mama!

Fun visits with friends and family!

I am not keeping up with blogging about all the adventures we've been having! I'm just too busy 1.) soaking up Moses 2.) preparing for #2 3.) being a housewife. It is no small feat!
A couple weekends ago we ventured out to Colorado Springs to visit the wonderful Paxson family! It had been too long since we had seen each other and we had yet to meet the newest addition to their family. We had a lovely time catching up! On Saturday we ventured to Focus on the Family so the kids could play. These are the only pictures I have of our time there. You can read more and get Stacey's delicious soup recipe HERE. Be prepared for a picture of yours truly looking like a cheese ball.
Miss Hope!

We also had a visit from Uncle Gary, Aunt Emma and cousin Leo. They flew in from England a few weeks ago and stopped by for lunch on their way back from skiing in Durango. I have never seen Moses warm up to people so quickly. He LOVED his cousin Leo!
Hanging out with Aunt Emma.
Spending some time with Uncle Gary and Leo. (Not to be confused with my brother Gary! This is my uncle, also named Gary.)
It was so lovely to spend some time with them. I have already finished the chocolate they brought (why is English chocolate so much better?!) and I am ready for another visit :) Come back soon!!

The wanderer's.

Now that we are moving into our new home.. with a small kiddo... and another on the way... this move feels much more permanent than others we have gone through. We have traveled here and there, never really bought furniture and never really had a place of our own. This is a big, big move for the Hayes family! I can't help but look back at everywhere we have been and feel so, so blessed by all the friends we have made along the way! Here are some photos of our journey in no particular order!

We lived in Socorro for a bit. While I adore each and every person in the photo I do not care to live there ever again :)
My mil and her sister's and nieces came to Oahu for a visit!!
Sweet Molokai.
Maui day trip! You can do fun things like this when you LIVE IN HAWAII!!
DC to visit Jeremiah's brother and wife!
We climbed down this to get to the leper colony. Yes. There is a leper colony in the United States.
Kayaking out to the "Mok's".. it was hard!
Going to the park with Baxter! Part of our daily routine!
Boys will be boys! We loved living in Kalae!!
Hands down the best part about living on Oahu was the hiking! Phenomenal!
Ahh! Wonderful Molokai!
Sweet Moses...
Us crazy kids hiking out to see the lava.. in the dark.. after a drink (or two).. in a storm...
I ADORE the Big Island!
Getting ready to run my first marathon on the island of Maui!
The view from our condo in Kaneohe!

We are so blessed, and our journey is just beginning!
